A Masonry Fireplace Reimagined in Kingsmill

Jo and his wife had a different vision in mind when the purchased their home in Kingsmill.
The brick rancher was in a great location, but beginning to show its age. The traditional masonry fireplace was right out of the Brady Bunch, but they wanted a look in line their clean contemporary design.
Working with the Whitt Corporation, Taproot designed a raised Travis DVL insert with ceramic fire stones and a custom four sided surround to give the fireplace a European look. Removing the old hearth and facing the area with vertical tile created a remarkable transformation.
